Urfan Dar, MD
Dr. Urfan Dar is Board Certified by the American Board of Pain Medicine & the American Board of Anesthesiology (ABA).
He earned his medical degree from University of Kashmir India, did his internship at East Tennessee State University, and then did his residency training in Anesthesiology at Texas Tech University, a world renowned pain center, under the guidance of Dr. Gabor Racz, a well known pain expert.
Dr. Dar has been in private practice since 1994 in San Antonio, Texas. In addition, he serves as medical director of Theda Oaks Surgery Center. He specializes in advanced techniques to treat all types of chronic and cancer pain with the latest, high tech pain control procedures. Dr. Dar was recently voted one of the top 100 physicians in San Antonio. In his spare time he likes to partake in personal fitness training and golf.
Dr. Dar was recently selected as one of the 70 best pain physicians in the US.
Seema A. Dar, M.D.
Dr. Dar is Board Certified both in Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology.
Dr. Dar received her Medical degree from University of Kashmir India. She continued her Internal Medicine Training at Texas Tech University Lubbock Texas. This was followed by Fellowship training in Gastroenterology which is specialization in digestive diseases Including special focus on Colon Cancer, Liver and Pancreatic diseases.
She moved to San Antonio and established a Gastroenterology Private Practice in 1997.
Dr. Dar is an outstanding physician who has served as Chief of Medicine at Northeast Baptist Hospital and was Instrumental in the founding of the Theda Oaks Surgery Center, a state of the art facility providing care for a wide range of digestive ailments and pain management procedures.
In her free time she enjoys Horse back riding, reading and gardening.
Joycelyn M. Theard, M.D.
Dr. Theard has had residency training and is Board Certified in both Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology. As a Board Certified Physician, she is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine and Subspecialty Board of Gastroenterology, which confirms the highest qualification and knowledge of the field of gastroenterology.
Dr. Theard has extensive experience in the procedures of endoscopy and colonoscopy. She is committed to delivering the highest quality of health care to patients and has developed a state-of the-art outpatient surgical center, Theda Oaks Ambulatory Surgical Center. Dr. Theard has assembled a highly skilled nursing team and administrative staff to ensure in addition to a high quality facility there is caring, helpful staff for the patient's needs.
